County Party Convention

  1. Speeches for County Offices; County Chairman presides

You will be taken to the County Convention Meeting Room by your City Counselors


8:45 a.m.

District Party Convention

  1. Speeches for District Offices; Both County Chairmen co-preside

You will be taken to the District Convention Meeting Room by your City Counselors


9:45 a.m.

State Party Convention

  1. Report by Party Rules Committee

  2. Debate and adopt Rules Committee Report

  3. Speeches for State Officials other than Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General

You will be taken to the State Party Convention Meeting Room by your City Counselors


12:00 p.m. for one party; 12:30 p.m. for the other party

Lunch with Party members from your city

You will be taken to the Cafeteria by your City Counselors

Ballot Draw — County/Precinct Chairs will conduct Ballot Draw and prepare ballots

Boys State Election Headquarters


1:15 p.m.

House and Senate reconvene

On-line House and Senate Committee Meetings

You will be taken to the Chambers by Counselors


1:15 p.m. for the party that ate Lunch first; the other party will begin at 1:45 p.m.

State Party Convention

  1. Speeches for Attorney General, Lt. Governor and Governor

You will be taken to the State Party Convention Meeting Room by your City Counselors


3:45 p.m. for the party that ate first at Lunch; the other party will begin at 4:30 p.m.

General Assembly

You will be taken to General Assembly by your City Counselors


5:00 p.m. for the party that had the first General Assembly; The other party will eat at 5:30 p.m.

Dinner with your City

You will be take to the Meeting Room and cafeteria by your City Counselors


6:15 p.m.

Change into recreation clothes (including Boys State t-shirt) that are appropriate for the Olympiad and associate evening activities

Dorm Area


6:45 p.m.

Deadline for Corrections to the Primary Election Ballot (corrections must be made by the Precinct, County, or State Party Chairman, depending on office sought by a Statesmen)

  1. Corrections must be submitted in writing by the State/County Chairmen for each party

City Faceoff and Announcements

You will be taken to Clark Field by your City Counselors


7:30 p.m.

Recreation Period Begins: All Statesmen will be involved in 1 or more of 4 different activity categories:

  1. City Olympiad - these are tournament games in Basketball, Dodgeball, and 7-on-7 football

  2. Boys State Band

  3. Seminars

  4. Rules, Campaign and Platform Committees

  5. Talent Show tryouts

Primary Election Polls Open

  1. Precinct Chairmen sign up for shift for overseeing primary election and will preside at Election and explain procedures
